Entertainment and the arts are a necessary part of life. They're a source of inspiration and ideas, and a reprieve from hard work and stress. I think there's a lot of honor in being a patron of the arts, because when you do you're giving a livelihood to the people who create the books, shows, videos, movies, games, and music that enrich your life in return.
The Curious Tale offers a style that few other storytellers do. We're definitely talking niche territory, here! I don't have much of a shot at getting a big publishing deal someday. I can only ask for the generous support of those of you who enjoy my work. Know that if you do pledge your support, it will go a long way. It's not a drop in the bucket, like donating a few bucks to a big development studio or a famous celebrity. I'm still figuring out groceries and rent. Every dollar counts. The closer I can get to breaking even on my work, the more time and energy I'll be able to devote to it. So consider this my humble pitch.
The most effective thing you could do to support me is to pledge a little money on an ongoing basis. The way to do that is to check me out on Patreon. For as little as a dollar a week, you can help an artist earn his daily bread.
Alternatively, if you would prefer to make a one-time donation, I am grateful for any and all contributions! you can donate to me on PayPal:
Regardless of whether and how you donate, thank you for even considering it! And for those of you who do pledge your support, thank you tenfold! We artists are often driven by our passions. Storytelling is something I have to do.
You'll also see buttons on the left-hand navigation menu for my web store, but other than my book I don't actually have anything for sale yet! If there's something about The Curious Tale that you'd like me to transform into a purchasable goody, like a coffee mug or a dirigible submarine, let me know!
O day and night, but this is wondrous strange!
